2021 TANNAT
A less well-known French varietal in Texas until Bending Branch started growing and producing it around 2008. This wine spent 30 months in neutral oak and makes this a smooth wine which has lots of stone fruit with pallet cleansing tannins, minerality, and a long earthy finish. It is closer to a Primitivo or Zin to me than anything else. Think mushroom risotto with grilled chicken. You can thank me later.
